The Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean, the PAM Member States and the entire Euro-Mediterranean region mourn the loss of a great leader, H.E. Mr. Abdelwahed Radi, PAM President Emeritus.

President Radi was one of the forefathers of PAM and played a vital role in shaping the Assembly. As the first PAM President, he laid the foundation for the success of this Assembly. His unwavering commitment and active involvement towards the issues related to the Mediterranean region were exceptional. He worked tirelessly to promote the interests of the PAM region and his vision and commitment to building bridges between nations and cultures will be sorely missed. His address to PAM 17th Plenary Session and the “Charte de la Méditerranée” will be remembered as his political testament to the PAM community.

PAM expresses its deepest condolences to Mr. Radi's family, friends, and colleagues. He leaves an immense void. However, his legacy will continue to inspire future generations, and PAM will keep working towards his vision for a better Mediterranean region.

May Mr. Radi's memory long live, and may his soul rest in peace.//
